Spine arthritis - osteoarthritis

Osteoarthritis is a progressive degenerative condition characterised by the gradual wearing down of spinal discs. Spinal arthritis often causes damage to the vertebral joints resulting in chronic pain, stiffness and limited mobility.

Disc Herniation/prolapse - sciatica

Within the spine are flexible disks that cushion your bones and absorb shock. When these disks are damaged, they may compress a nerve resulting in lower extremity numbness, pain, weakness or tingling.

If ligaments in your back and spine are stretched or torn due to sudden movement, this is know as a strain. In most cases, this injury causes severe pain in the damaged area With associated movement comprise.

Facet irritation

There are small joints either side of your spine that go all the way up The spinal column, these facilitate movement and are known as facet joints. Like any of the joints in the body these can become irritated and inflamed causing severe pain and huge muscle spasms.

Sacroiliac joint pain

The sacroiliac joint of the joints that attach the spine to the pelvis. They are strong joints which are important for the transfer of forces from above and below. Like any joint in the body, these are also prone to pain and injury. Also, these joints are surrounded by dense network of ligaments which also become damaged and inflamed.
